Deskrawl Hunter Build: Skills, Minions and Gear

A practical Deskrawl Hunter build for leveling and endgame: skill priorities, minion choices, stat goals, and the mistakes that waste upgrade materials.

The Hunter build is the easiest Deskrawl class to take from a fresh save into endgame. You stay at range, keep damage running while moving, and let a captured minion cover the moments when a boss forces you off target.

Skill priority

Take your main ranged attack first, then invest in a movement or dodge skill. Damage-over-time upgrades look attractive early, but uptime is worth more than a larger tooltip when you are still learning boss patterns.

  1. Max the primary ranged skill.
  2. Take movement speed or dodge recovery.
  3. Add critical chance after your weapon reaches the next rarity break.
  4. Pick minion cooldown and utility nodes before small flat damage nodes.

Gear and stats

Use the highest-level weapon you can reliably upgrade. Prioritise attack speed, critical chance, and flat damage; defensive stats matter when an offline character is farming without your input. Do not spend rare upgrade materials chasing a perfect roll on a low-level item.

Minion pairing

Choose a minion that slows, taunts, or groups enemies. The Hunter already supplies damage, so a utility minion increases real clear speed more than a second fragile damage dealer. See the minions and reins guide before selling a rare capture.

Boss play

Keep a full screen of distance, attack during telegraphs, and save your dash for the boss’s high-damage phase. For a complete route through the game’s encounters, use the Deskrawl bosses index.

Is Hunter good for offline progression?

Yes. Reliable ranged damage and a utility minion make Hunter one of the least demanding classes for offline characters. Check the result after each unlock because a new boss can change the best minion pairing.
