Deskrawl Minions and Reins: Capture, Equip and Trade
Learn how Deskrawl minion capture works, what reins do, which minion roles help each class, and when a rare drop is worth keeping or selling.
Minions add a second layer to Deskrawl progression. A good capture can hold enemies, group a pack, or cover the damage window while your class moves out of danger.
How capture works
Lower a target’s health, use the capture interaction when it becomes available, and check the resulting minion before leaving the area. Capture quality and the attached rein are separate: a common minion can still carry a useful rein.
Roles to keep
- Control: slows or groups enemies for Hunter and Sorcerer.
- Front line: taunts or absorbs hits for Monk and Warrior.
- Support: improves recovery during long offline sessions.
- Damage: useful for early levelling, but often less valuable than utility in boss fights.
Reins and the market
Reins are the part players most often misprice. Compare the exact name, rarity, and roll rather than searching only for the minion species. Our Steam Market guide explains the safe way to compare listings.
Do not dismantle too early
Keep one copy of every new rein until you know which class you want to main. Storage is cheaper than rebuilding a rare capture after a patch changes a skill multiplier.
